Our Beliefs: Doctrinal Statement

Section 1: The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God, without any man’s interpretation. It is the guide of our lives to walk on the path to Kingdom of Heaven. 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalms 119:105

Section 2: God

We believe there is one God, the Creator, who is Spirit and self-existent (Gn 1:1, Jn 4:24, Ex 3:14).

Section 3: Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to be the only means of salvation through his blood, the way to the Father. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, and sacrificed his life for the atonement of our sins (Mt 1:18-23, Mt 3:16-17, Rom 5:8, 2 Cor 5:21)

Section 4: The Holy Spirit

We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit who was sent as an Advocate to teach us all things, remind us of everything Jesus spoke, and guide us into all truth (Jn 14:26, Jn 16:13)

Section 5: Mankind

We believe that mankind was originally created in the image and likeness of God (Gn 1:26) but due to deception by Satan and disobedience to God (Gn 3:1-7), was fallen into sin and corruption (Gn 6:5) and as a result, death (Romans 5:12, Rom 6:23).

Section 6: Salvation

The salvation of mankind can only be attained through the atonement of sin through Jesus’ blood, who was offered as the sacrificial Passover lamb of today (1 Cor 5:7, Acts 4:12, Rom 5:9, Rv 1:5-6). Salvation is not by human works but by grace from God (Eph 1:4-7, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Jn 3:16)

Section 7: New Covenant

We believe in the promise of Jesus of the new covenant made on the night before his death, and that all believers today must know and keep the new covenant (Luke 22:20, Heb 8:8-12)

Section 8: The Church

The Church is the Body of Christ made of believers who share in the faith that Jesus Christ came as the Messiah promised in the Old Testament (John 1:12-13, Luke 24:27) and who will return at the time of the Second Coming to bring salvation to those waiting for him (Heb 9:28). All members of the church should become one under one word and one Spirit for the glory of God and live together in unity as God’s people (1 Cor 12: 12, Ps 133:1, 2 Cor 13:11, Gal 3:28, Phil 2:2, Col 3:14, Rom 12:4-5, Rom 15:5-6, Eph 4:1-6, Acts 4:32)

Section 9: Revelation and the Coming of the Lord

We believe that the book of Revelation is a book of prophecy containing the promises about the second coming of Jesus Christ that all believers must know and keep in order to receive blessings (Rev 1:1-3). We should not add to or subtract from this book of prophecy, otherwise we will receive plagues and not enter the Holy City, the Kingdom of Heaven (Rev 22:18-19). All believers must be equipped with the understanding of the promises about the second coming of Jesus so that when they happen, we will believe (Jn 14:29)
